Logan Square Tattoo is a well renowned tattoo studio located in Logan Square, Chicago. We have 11 resident tattoo artists along with a healthy, national/international guest artist roster. We are looking to hire an enthusiastic, friendly, and energetic individual with a genuine desire to work alongside a small team to provide exceptional customer service.

Your role would be the studio assistant, answering phones, interacting on social media, communicating with artists to assist in setting up appointments and preparing client paperwork, light daily cleaning, and running errands (coffee, lunch, etc).

Work hours would be appx 20 hours per week. Hours in the studio would be as follows:  11:30am - 5:00pm Tuesday, Thursday, 2:00pm - 7:00pm Saturday, 11:30 - 3:30pm Sunday with flexibility to sometimes open the studio early or close the studio later; Must maintain availability that meets the needs of the business and allows for flexibility in scheduling.

$16/hour and up depending on qualifications. 

 

Bi-lingual, Spanish/English is a plus, but not necessary, as we have many Spanish speaking clients.

Qualifications: 

•Education/Experience: 2+ years experience in customer service, high school diploma preferred

 

•Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with confidence to both employees and clients

 

•Mathematic Skills: Basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division; Ability to use a calculator and calculate percentages and ratios

 

•Ability to multitask, while being attentive to customers and remaining flexible to the needs of the business; Ability to lift 30 pounds 

 

•Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative independent of direct supervision

 

•Strong social media skills in Instagram, tiktok, facebook. We are looking for someone who can create content, improve daily interactions on social media, researching and targeting hashtags

 

•Must maintain availability that meets the needs of the business and allows for flexibility in scheduling

 

•Possess strong organizational and time management skills

 

•Demonstrates strong listening, written and oral communication skills

 

•Other useful qualification skills we are interested in but not required: Photography skills, branding skills, community outreach, press-promo collaboration, design skills with adobe suite or other programs, video editing skills

 

Other Responsibilities Include: 

 

• Managing tattoo health and safety standards, ensuring the individual and collective skills of the team are utilized effectively, and both the staff and customer experience is positive; you will be trained in bloodborne pathogens upon being hired. 

 

•Consistently creates a welcoming environment for the customer by greeting and assisting; as well as quickly responding to customer inquiries and needs

 

•Assists Studio Manager with providing a strong leadership presence and control in studio, while ensuring that all clients receive good service and quality tattoos and merchandise; Regularly communicates with Studio Manager to discuss strengths, opportunities, and trends in business

 

•Assists Studio Manager in maintaining high quality health and safety standards that comply with the Health Department and LST’s policies; Enforces all company policies and procedures, including health, safety, and security

 

•Responsible for refilling inventory, artist stations and office/tattoo supply stock levels and reordering or requesting as necessary
