Apprentice Tattos and Late Night walk-ins
If you’ve been following the studio for a while, you probably know we’ve had an apprentice training with us since last fall. If you haven’t seen her pop up on our socials yet, we’d love to properly introduce Nikki, also known as @cognitivetanslation on Instagram. I’ve known Nikki for years as both a client and a fellow artist, so I was excited when she finally asked to learn how to tattoo. I don’t take on apprentices lightly, but I felt confident right away that she would be a great fit for our shop and for the broader tattoo community. Nikki has been tattooing clients since early this year, and we’re proud to now open her schedule to a wider client base. We’re currently looking for people interested in getting an apprentice tattoo at a discounted rate while she continues her training. All of her work will be done under supervision, and projects will be selected to fit her current skill set as it continues to grow. Her pricing will be offered on a sliding scale depending on the complexity of the design and the type of work she needs for her technical hours. If you’re interested, fill out her

We’re also excited to welcome our newest artist, Josh Cruz, to Logan Square Tattoo. Josh joins us by way of Texas and Milwaukee, where he’s been tattooing for the last several years, and he’s excited to settle into Chicago and take in the energy of the city. We figured there’s no better way to get to know the neighborhood than by making him the face of our weekend walk-in hours. If you’ve spent any time on Milwaukee Avenue during a summer weekend, you already know how lively it gets from daytime into late night.
Josh will be bringing his hand-drawn American traditional flash, smaller fine line designs, and custom options to our new extended weekend hours all summer long. Starting now, Logan Square Tattoo will be open until midnight on Friday and Saturday nights for walk-in tattoos, consultations, and anyone who wants to stop by and talk shop.
