Nikki is taking walkins
For those of you how have been following along, you've probably been watching our apprentice Nikki's journey into being a tattoo artist. She started with us last summer, learning the basics of cleanliness and customer service, quickly moving into drawing and design, and then at the begining of the year, tattooing.
She came in no stranger to art or tattoo shops and I've had a working relationship with her as a client of mine as well as someone I've shared gallery wall space with in the past. I knew when she started that tattooing would click for her quick. I'm excited to say that she's proved me right.
Starting this July Nikki will now be taking on some studio walk-in clients and appointments as well as continuing her learning with more advanced projects through her mentorship.
I believe apprenticeships are a fluid and tiered process. So while Nikki still technically has the label of aprentice, she is now at the stage where we are confident she can do work that is up to our high studio standards when it walk through the door with the benifit of having the backing of a present mentor to help fine tune the skills needed to be a fully independant artist.
Anyways, if you see Nikki, give her a congratulations on the work she's done so far, and check out some of her most recent pieces below as well as on her artist page (where you can find her booking form as well, hint hint)
