Follow the Rabbit: We're Celebrating National Tattoo Day with a Flash Fundraiser
Part of being an artist is having the need to go down rabbit holes. You catch an idea, and you have to chase it — down and down, past where it's comfortable, until it becomes something real. That's how tattoos get made, it's how our shop got built, and it's the spirit behind what we've got planned for National Tattoo Day.
On Friday, July 17, we're throwing a rabbit-themed flash day fundraiser — and we'd love for you to be part of it.
Our artists have taken our little jackrabbit (the one from our logo) and reimagined him a dozen different ways, plus snuck in a few other designs we couldn't help but chase. It's a full sheet of flash made just for the day, and every piece is priced between $100 and $200.
Here's the part we're most excited about: half of every tattoo sale goes directly to the Chicago Art Department.
Supporting the Artists Chasing What's Next
The Chicago Art Department is an artist-run nonprofit that's been at it since 2004, providing space and resources for civically-minded artists across the city. Through subsidized studio residencies, collective learning cohorts, and exhibitions rooted in justice, they give Chicago artists something rare and essential: the room to go all in on their work.
That mission lines up with everything we believe. Chicago's art and tattoo culture didn't come from nowhere — it was built by artists who were given a shot, and who then made room for the people who came next. Partnering with CAD is our way of helping keep that going. Learn more about the Chicago Art Department here

The Details
What: National Tattoo Day rabbit flash fundraiser
When: Friday, July 17, 2026 · Noon–7 PM (or until we've tattooed everyone we can)
Where: Logan Square Tattoo · 2352 N Milwaukee Ave, Chicago, IL 60647
Cost: $100–$200 per flash design · 50% donated to the Chicago Art Department
RSVP perk: Everyone who RSVPs gets the full flash sheet emailed the night before and early access at 11 AM — a full hour before we open to walk-ins.
This is a walk-in flash day, so no appointment is needed. But RSVPing is worth it: you'll get first look at the designs and beat the line. Designs are first come, first served, so if there's a rabbit you've got your eye on, RSVP and get here early.
Everyone's Entered to Win a $500 Tattoo
Here's the fun part. Every single person who gets tattooed OR donates on July 17 is automatically entered into a raffle to win a $500 custom tattoo session with our founder, Gifford Kasen — one of Chicago's go-to biomechanical and illustrative artists.
That's $500 toward the custom piece you've been dreaming about — your rabbit hole, chased all the way down. Get tattooed, drop a donation, or both — either way, you're in the running. We'll draw the winner after the event.
Can't make it in person? You can still be part of it. Donate $50 to support the Chicago Art Department through our fundraiser page and you'll be entered into the raffle too.
